Local Intel
Prom season here hits in April and May. Bad luck for parking, because that's the same stretch when downtown goes feral with festivals. Moontower takes over the Paramount and a few downtown stages through mid-April. Reggae Fest grabs Auditorium Shores. Zilker has its kite festival, and Hot Luck closes out May. Translation: the night your kid wants a photo on Congress Avenue, there's a decent chance three other events are running within ten blocks. Don't panic over that. Just plan the timing instead of crossing your fingers.
Downtown drop-offs and the new 6th Street valet
If dinner or the dance sits near 6th and Congress, here's the thing: there's no real public drop-off zone down there. You're working with managed valet or a garage, full stop. The 6th Street District valet stand at 500 San Jacinto, between 5th and 6th, runs Thursday through Saturday, 4:30pm to 3am, and covers everything from I-35 over to Congress. Hotel valets near the entertainment district also pack out on weekend nights. We've baked all of this into the plan long before we roll up to your driveway.
I-35 is the problem, and it keeps getting worse
The Capital Express rebuild is chewing through 8 miles of I-35 downtown and it'll run for years. Ramps that used to be there? Gone. Permanently. The upper-deck downtown exit is closed for good, the Riverside and Holly ramps are shut, and the bridge over Lady Bird Lake is down to a single northbound lane. Congress Avenue has its own lane and sidewalk work creeping north a block at a time. We're not surprised by any of it. We just go around.
The Chauffeured Experience
Here's how a prom or homecoming night actually runs with us. The car and your chauffeur belong to you for the whole evening, on call and as-directed. We don't drop the group and vanish. We stage, we wait, and we move when you say move. Booked hourly, with a minimum.
A normal night looks something like this. We pick up at the house first, because the parents always want photos in the driveway. Then the group dinner. Then the dance. Then, more often than not, a late food stop before everyone crashes. You're not re-booking between legs. Same chauffeur, same car, the whole way through. Group decides at 10pm they suddenly want to be somewhere else? Great. Go. That's exactly what as-directed is for.
Most prom groups want the Flagship Jetliner Sprinter. It seats up to ten, runs real climate control, premium audio, Starlink Wi-Fi, and privacy, so the friend group rides as one unit instead of getting split across three cars. Smaller crew, four or six kids? The 2025 Cadillac Escalade handles that nicely, with climate control and premium audio. Complimentary water and ice come along for the ride. BYOB is welcome for anyone 21 and up, which on a parent-chaperoned night usually means the adults in the back.
Routing is where we earn it. We know the toll roads cold. TX-130 east of town stays at free-flow speed on nearly every trip while I-35 sits there gridlocked, and 183A takes care of the north side. If the venue is one of the Hill Country ranches out US-290 toward Dripping Springs or Driftwood, those are single-road sites with tight turnarounds, so we work out the staging and timing well ahead. Bigger event? We can also coordinate purchasing parking access so the car stages right up close. We figure that one out case by case.

Why The Jetliner
Questions, answered
Does the car stay with us the whole night or just drop us off?
It stays. Prom and homecoming run hourly as-directed, so your chauffeur and the car are yours for the full evening, moving on your schedule from photos to dinner to the dance and back home.
How many kids fit?
The Flagship Jetliner Sprinter seats up to ten, and that's the usual call for a prom group. Smaller party of four to six? The 2025 Cadillac Escalade is the right fit.
Is there a minimum booking?
Yes, there's an hourly minimum. Prom nights run long anyway, what with photos, dinner, the dance, and the late stop, so most groups clear it without thinking about it. Call us and we'll size the hours to your plan.
Can parents book it and confirm who's driving?
Of course. Parents book directly, and one professional, vetted chauffeur drives the whole night. You get a name and a number, and that same chauffeur handles every leg.
Can the kids bring drinks?
We bring complimentary water and ice. BYOB is welcome for guests 21 and up only, which on a chaperoned prom night usually means the adults riding along.
What if the venue is out in the Hill Country?
We run the ranch venues off US-290 toward Dripping Springs and Driftwood all the time. They sit on single access roads, so we plan the staging and timing ahead, and for bigger events we can coordinate purchasing parking access so the car stages close.
How do you ensure a safe and alcohol-free environment for my child's prom or homecoming group?
We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for underage drinking. While BYOB is permitted for passengers 21 and older, it is strictly prohibited for minors. We provide complimentary water and ice for all passengers. Smoking is also not permitted.
What vehicle options are available for prom or homecoming groups, and what amenities are included to keep students entertained?
We offer the Mercedes Sprinter, which comfortably accommodates up to 10 passengers, and the 2025 Cadillac Escalade, seating up to 6. Both bring premium audio, climate control, and complimentary water and ice, and the Sprinter adds Starlink Wi-Fi, dual LCD screens with Apple TV, and a privacy partition to keep the group entertained between stops.
How flexible is your service for multiple stops or varying itineraries throughout the prom or homecoming evening?
Completely flexible. The night runs hourly and as-directed, so your chauffeur and the car stay on site or close by the whole evening. Photos, dinner, the dance, a late food stop, we move when your group moves, with no waiting on a return pickup.
