Local Intel
Lake Travis is gorgeous to look at and a headache to park at. Nearly everything out here gets funneled onto one road. That road is RM 620, the only real north-south spine in northern Travis County. It runs 23 miles, Bee Cave up to Round Rock, and it's doing double duty the whole way: commuter highway in the morning, lake traffic by afternoon. The ugly spot is where 620 hits RM 2222. That junction is your one east-west tie back toward town, and it seizes up in both peaks. TxDOT's bypass lanes took some of the edge off when they opened, but the junction still buckles under summer lake traffic. So we plan around the clock, not around the road.
The Oasis: get there before sunset, or don't bother
The Oasis on Lake Travis takes no reservations. None. Not even a table at the restaurant. First-come, first-served, and they say it flat out on their own site: show up an hour before sunset if you actually want to sit down. They post the exact sunset time for the day right at the top of the page, and that's the number we build the drop-off around. Parking is free and on site. It also fills fast on weekends and goes into total churn at dusk, when hundreds of people roll in to watch the Sunset Bell. The road in, Comanche Trail, is a skinny two-lane that bends along the hillside and crawls on a hot Saturday. Drop you at the entrance is the play. Every dining level has elevator access, so nobody's stuck climbing.
Hippie Hollow and the lot lottery
Hippie Hollow is right next door, 7000 Comanche Trail, same access road in. Its lot is small. On a busy day it's full before noon. Holiday weekends, it'll close to incoming cars somewhere in the 11 AM to 2 PM range and stay shut once it's at capacity. Cash only at the booth, too, and 18 and up. If that's where you're headed, we get you in before the late-morning wall goes up.
The Chauffeured Experience
Here's how we run a Lake Travis day. You book the car and chauffeur by the hour, and they stay put with you the whole time. Nobody's watching for a pickup. Nobody's standing on Comanche Trail with a dead phone hoping a ride decides to come out this far, because they won't. The vehicle's yours. It waits when you wait and it rolls when you roll.
An Oasis evening, we build backward from sunset. We pull the posted time for your specific date, then pad it hard for the summer-weekend grind on 620 and the slow last mile up Comanche, so you're at the entrance with room to get seated before the crush. Downtown out to the Oasis is twenty to thirty minutes on a clear run and a good deal more when it isn't. We don't shave it thin. While you're up there for the bell at dusk, your chauffeur is dealing with the lot and sitting ready the second you want to go.
People underrate how much the routing matters out here. Coming down from the north through Cedar Park or Leander, 183A drops you onto 620 quick, but it dumps you right into the corridor without skipping the 2222 mess, so depending on what the timing's doing we'll sometimes peel west onto RM 1431 instead. We know which intersections die, and we know what hour they die.
On the car itself: a lake run for up to six, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade is the right call, climate control and proper audio dialed in. Bigger group, or a longer day, and the Flagship Jetliner Sprinter fits the bill. It seats up to ten and carries Starlink Wi-Fi if anyone needs to keep working on the way out. Both stock complimentary water and ice, and BYOB is fine for guests 21 and up. Doing a wedding or a private party on the Starlight Terrace? The Oasis runs five event spaces, the biggest holding up to 400. They don't publish anything on where a larger vehicle stages, so we sort that out with the venue ourselves and, when it makes sense, line up parking access so the car can sit close.

Why The Jetliner
Questions, answered
Can you get us to the Oasis before sunset for a table?
Yes, and honestly that's the whole reason to time this right. The Oasis won't take a reservation and tells you to arrive an hour before sunset. We pull the posted sunset time for your date and pad for 620 plus the slow climb up Comanche Trail, so you land with time to actually get seated.
How does booking work for a Lake Travis day?
Hourly and as-directed, with a minimum. Your chauffeur and the vehicle stay with you the entire outing and move when you say. This isn't a one-way drop-off. The car is yours for the evening, or the whole day.
Which vehicle is best for the lake?
For up to six on a dinner or a beach day, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade. Bigger group or a longer outing, go with the Flagship Jetliner Sprinter: seats up to ten, Starlink Wi-Fi for the drive out. Both have climate control, solid audio, and complimentary water and ice.
Can you handle Hippie Hollow?
We can. The lot's the catch. It's small and fills before noon on a busy day, and holiday weekends it'll close to incoming traffic somewhere in the 11 AM to 2 PM window. So we get you there before late morning, while you can still get in. Heads up: it's cash only at the booth and 18 and up.
What about traffic on the way out?
RM 620 is the only major corridor out here, and the 620/2222 intersection is the worst chokepoint in both peaks. We watch the timing and route around it, sometimes coming in via 183A from the north, sometimes swinging west on RM 1431. We cover the toll roads to keep you moving past the congestion.
Can you help with a wedding or private event at the Oasis?
Yes. The Oasis has five event spaces, the Starlight Terrace seating up to 400. They don't publish a staging policy for larger vehicles, so we confirm it with the venue directly and, when it fits, arrange parking access so the car can stage close to the entrance.
