Local Intel
Rodeo Austin (officially the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo) returns in March 2027. The home for it is the Travis County Expo Center, 128 acres of parkland about fifteen minutes northeast of downtown. You'll see two addresses kicking around: 7311 Decker Lane for the venue and 9100 Decker Lake Road for the fairgrounds gate. Don't let that trip you up. If someone's dropping you, the only one that counts is Gate 1 on Decker Lane.
The gate that actually gets you in
Public parking pours through Gate 3 and Gate 4 off Decker Lake Road, and those lines stack up fast. Gate 1 sits on Decker Lane. It's the dedicated drop-off and pick-up lane for rideshare and permit holders, and that's exactly where a black car wants to be. Gate 2? Livestock exhibitors only. Skip it. Send a private car into the public parking gates by accident and you're stuck in the same scrum as every family hunting for a $20 spot.
Congestion windows are real here
ProRodeo and the concerts kick off at 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 3 p.m. on Sundays. People show up one to two hours early, so Decker Lake Road gets thick around 6 and the ugliest stretch runs 5:30 to 7:30. For a 7 p.m. show, we aim to have you at Gate 1 by 5:00 or 5:30. That buffer covers security and food. The way out is the other half of the job. On a sold-out Saturday the main lots can eat 45 minutes just to clear. Once you're off the highway, the parkland roads (Decker Lane, Decker Lake Road, Blue Bluff) are the pinch points, and there's no street parking to bail you out. One thing worth flagging right now: MLK Jr. Blvd is down to a single lane each way between Tannehill and Regency, so we feed in off US-183 (Loyola), US-290, or SH-130 instead.
The Chauffeured Experience
Here's how we run a rodeo night. The car and chauffeur are yours for the evening, on call, booked by the hour with a minimum. We don't drop you and disappear. The car stays, parks or stages, and circles back to Gate 1 the second you text that you're walking out.
We build the approach around the clock, not the map. From most of central and west Austin we'll roll in on SH-130 (the Pickle Parkway) and grab Exit 444 toward FM 969, then cut over to Decker Lake Road. That keeps you clear of I-35 and out of the worst of the Decker Lane queue. US-290 toll east is the other clean line in. We pay the tolls. None of it lands on you.
Now the vehicle. A rodeo evening is almost always a group thing: family, a few friends, a client party in for the headliner. The Flagship Jetliner Sprinter seats up to ten, with Starlink Wi-Fi, climate control, and real privacy, so the kids can have their meltdown on the ride home and nobody outside the car is any the wiser. Four or six of you? Take the 2025 Cadillac Escalade. Same climate comfort, premium audio, simpler to load and tuck in. Both stock complimentary water and ice, and BYOB is fine for guests 21 and up.
On the heavy nights, finals or a big concert, we can line up purchased parking access ahead of time so the car stages close instead of orbiting the lots. We work that out case by case. It's a premium option we set up, not a blanket promise. When the rodeo empties and Decker Lake Road locks up, that close stage is the gap between sitting comfortably in the car and standing on a dark curb. Either way, we time your pickup to when you leave, not when the crowd does.

Why The Jetliner
Questions, answered
Where will the chauffeur drop us off at the Expo Center?
Gate 1 on Decker Lane, the dedicated drop-off and pick-up lane. We stay out of the public parking gates (3 and 4) off Decker Lake Road. Those feed straight into the general $20 parking lines and bog everything down.
How early should we arrive for a 7 p.m. rodeo or concert?
We aim to have you at Gate 1 by 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. The crowd lands one to two hours before the 7 p.m. start, Decker Lake Road thickens around 6, and that head start gives you room for security and a bite before the show.
Is this a one-way drop or does the car stay?
It stays. This is hourly, as-directed service with a minimum booking. Your chauffeur and vehicle are with you the whole evening, staging nearby and coming back to Gate 1 when you're ready to go.
Can you get us out faster after the show?
We time the pickup to your exit, not the crowd's. The main lots can take 45 minutes to clear on a peak night, so having the car staged and meeting you at Gate 1 on your text beats sitting in that line. On the big nights we can also arrange advance parking access to stage even closer.
Which vehicle works for a rodeo night?
Bigger group? The Flagship Jetliner Sprinter seats up to ten with Starlink Wi-Fi, climate control, and privacy. Four to six of you and the 2025 Cadillac Escalade is the easy call. Both include complimentary water and ice, and BYOB is welcome for guests 21 and up.
How do you route around the traffic to the venue?
From most of Austin we come in on SH-130 (the Pickle Parkway) at Exit 444 toward FM 969, or US-290 toll east, then over to Decker Lake Road, which keeps you off I-35. The tolls are on us. With MLK Jr. Blvd cut to one lane right now, we use US-183 (Loyola) or 290 as the alternate.
