Local Intel
DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium sits at 405 E 23rd St, roughly two miles north of downtown and so close to I-35 you can spot it from the highway. That closeness is the trap. Everybody pours in the same way, and the city shuts the area down well before kickoff.
Here's what catches people off guard. The Traffic Control Points and one-way conversions go live at 5 a.m. After that, San Jacinto Blvd from Dean Keeton to MLK gets no through traffic until 6 p.m., and the same goes for Robert Dedman, Trinity, and Clyde Littlefield. Longhorn Foundation permit holders and ADA vehicles are the only ones allowed into the inner ring. San Jacinto, the obvious run past the Capitol, is flat-out closed at the stadium. No dropping there. Period.
The parking reality
Lots open at 7 a.m. on a normal Saturday, 6 a.m. when kickoff is at 11. Nobody parks overnight. The decent lots close to the stadium want a permit you bought weeks ago, and those sell out. Cash and public lots? They can fill by 7 a.m. when a ranked SEC opponent rolls in, and the residential blocks around campus give you basically nothing. Official public spots run through ParkMobile ahead of time: the Health Center Garage, Lot 15, Lot 18/92. State garages such as A, E, F, J and the Capitol Visitor Garage charge $25 a space, pay as you pull in, and UT runs a shuttle from there to the stadium.
The I-35 chokepoint
The Capital Express Central project is tearing down and rebuilding the MLK bridge over I-35 as we speak. Ramps near campus are closed, with more closures coming, and the disruption will be part of game day planning for a while yet. This is the single nastiest pinch point feeding the stadium. People who do this every season just stay off I-35 between Riverside and 38th on game day and come in on MoPac or Lamar, cutting east late.
The Chauffeured Experience
Longhorns Saturdays run as an hourly as-directed booking. The car and chauffeur are yours for the whole day, on call, moving when you decide to move. Pregame brunch, the tailgate, kickoff, the long shuffle back to the car: one vehicle, one driver, start to finish.
Here's how we run it. We pull the kickoff time and work backward, because that 5 a.m. control-point lockdown and the I-35 dig change every decision. From most of Austin we ride in on MoPac or Lamar and slide east at the last street that still makes sense, staying clear of I-35 between Riverside and 38th where it sits dead. Drop-off goes to the designated curb on the south side of Dean Keeton, between Robert Dedman and Red River. Same airport-style zone the official shuttles use. Close, clean, legal. Your chauffeur then stages nearby and waits on your text.
The post-game scramble is the part that trips everyone. The whistle blows and suddenly every car in the city is wrestling for the same three blocks. We don't get in that fight. We tell clients to give it 20 to 30 minutes, or take a short walk toward Guadalupe while the worst of it drains off. Then we roll up and you're gone, while the pickup lines are still sorting themselves out.
For a rivalry weekend we can line up a paid parking position so the vehicle stages closer in. It's a premium thing we coordinate one game at a time, never promised, but on the right Saturday it earns its keep.
Group of up to 10? The Flagship Jetliner Sprinter is the call, with Starlink Wi-Fi, climate control, and a real sound system for the ride over and the wait. Six or fewer ride in the 2025 Cadillac Escalade. Both stock complimentary water and ice, and BYOB is fine for guests 21 and up.
Two vehicles, one calendar. Event weekends go first.

Why The Jetliner
Game Day Transportation to DKR: The Private Alternative to the Shuttle
On a Longhorns home Saturday, everything moves at once. The stadium shuttles and game-day express routes run packed and on a fixed schedule, rideshare surges through the I-35 and MLK closures, and parking near Darrell K Royal is gone by mid-morning. A private chauffeured vehicle sidesteps all of it: your car stays with your group the whole day, drops as close as the closures allow, and is waiting when the clock hits zero so you are not fighting 100,000 people for a ride home.
For a family or a small group, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade seats up to 6. For a tailgate crew, the Flagship Jetliner Sprinter 3500XD carries up to 10, the private alternative to a game-day shuttle, with captain's chairs, a stocked cooler, and a chauffeur who knows which approach to DKR actually moves on a Saturday. Ride together, tailgate without a designated driver, and let someone else handle the traffic.
Longhorns game day transportation books against the home schedule, and the marquee games (rivalry weekends, night kickoffs) go first. Lock your date early. Call or text 737-200-5252 with the game and your headcount and we will hold your vehicle before that weekend fills.
Questions, answered
Is this a one-way ride to the stadium?
No. Game days are booked hourly as-directed with a minimum. The chauffeur and vehicle stay with you the whole outing, from pregame through the drive home, and move on your schedule.
Where will the car drop us off?
The designated airport-style curb on the south side of Dean Keeton St. between Robert Dedman Dr. and Red River St. It's the closest legal drop there is. San Jacinto past the Capitol is closed at the stadium on game day, so that's off the table.
How do you get around the I-35 and MLK construction?
We stay off I-35 between Riverside and 38th, where it backs up, and ride in on MoPac or Lamar before cutting east. The MLK bridge rebuild over I-35 has ramps closed near campus, so we route around it. For out-of-town arrivals, SH 130 lets us bypass I-35 altogether.
What about getting out after the game?
That's where the whole-day booking earns its money. Every rideshare in town hits the same blocks at the whistle. Your chauffeur stages nearby and pulls up on your text, usually after a short wait or a few-block walk toward Guadalupe, so you skip the ugliest part of the crush.
Can you park closer to the stadium?
For the big games, yes, we can arrange paid parking access so the vehicle stages closer in. It's a premium option we handle game by game, not a guarantee, since the permitted lots near the stadium sell out early and the control points wall off the inner ring.
Which vehicle should we book and how many fit?
Up to 10 ride in the Flagship Jetliner Sprinter, with Starlink Wi-Fi, climate control, and premium audio. Six or fewer fit the 2025 Cadillac Escalade. Both carry complimentary water and ice, and BYOB is welcome for guests 21 and over.
How do we book?
Call 737-200-5252 or request a quote at thejetliner.com. Give us the kickoff time and your group size, and we'll build the day around it, pregame stops and pickup timing included.
What is the best transportation to a Longhorns game?
A private chauffeured vehicle that stays with you all day beats the game-day shuttle and rideshare on a home Saturday: no fixed schedule, no surge, no walk from a distant lot. We run a 2025 Cadillac Escalade for up to 6 and the Jetliner Sprinter for up to 10, with a chauffeur who knows the DKR closures.
Do you offer group transportation for UT games?
Yes. The Jetliner Sprinter 3500XD seats up to 10 with captain's chairs and a cooler, so a tailgate crew rides together, nobody has to be the designated driver, and the car is staged for a fast exit after the final whistle.
When should I book Longhorns game day transportation?
As early as you have the schedule. Home rivalry games and night kickoffs book first, and rates climb as the date approaches. A deposit holds your vehicle and chauffeur. Call or text 737-200-5252 with the game and headcount.
Still weighing it? Text your dates to (737) 200-5252 and we will answer honestly.
