ACL Live at The Moody Theater lives at 310 W Willie Nelson Blvd, built into Block 21 alongside the W Austin Hotel over in the 2nd Street District. Gorgeous room inside. The block outside it on a show night is another story. And here's what the ticket page won't tell you up front: the venue doesn't own a garage and doesn't sell a single parking pass. It hands you a list of public garages and a shrug toward rideshare. That's the whole plan.

Which leaves you a few garages you can walk from. The Austin City Hall Garage at 301 W 2nd St sits right across Guadalupe, open around the clock, and you get in through the 100 block of Guadalupe. The 500 W 2nd St garage and Northshore at 131 Nueces both come in around a tenth of a mile. There's 208 Nueces close by too, and Lavaca Plaza at 504 Lavaca runs maybe a fifth of a mile. The Silicon Labs garage at 400 W Cesar Chavez? It packs out on event nights, and fast. Then the meters. Enforced to midnight Wednesday through Saturday (Sat starts at 11am), so the curb on a show night isn't an easy option either.

The traffic the venue won't warn you about

One block away you hit the real wall: where Cesar Chavez, Lavaca, and South First all dump into each other in front of City Hall. Drivers block the box, nothing clears, the light cycles and you don't move. Commuters have clocked 30 minutes just grinding from 7th down to 2nd on Lavaca around 6pm. Now stack the I-35 Capital Express Central rebuild on top, the one chewing north from Cesar Chavez toward 7th right along the venue's east edge, with frontage roads and ramps closing as the work creeps block by block into summer 2027. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday peaks have gotten meaner than the rest of the week. City crews are pushing north-south flow onto Lamar and MoPac and east-west onto Cesar Chavez. Translation: do not build a concert night around a downtown I-35 ramp right now.

This isn't a drop-off. We're there at the start. We're there when the last song fades and the lights come up. And you spend exactly zero seconds wondering where the car went.

The way it runs: we grab you wherever you are, we time the run at the City Hall convergence instead of swimming through it, and we pull to the curb on W Willie Nelson Blvd, the street the theater faces. That's the spot. Same lane the official rideshare zone uses, and we know how to slide in and out without parking ourselves in the lockup. Coming down from the north suburbs, or up from the San Antonio side? We'll put you on SH-130 around the I-35 downtown mess rather than walk you into a closed ramp.

The payoff lands after the show. Everybody pours onto Willie Nelson Blvd at the same second. While that crowd is thumbing a phone in the dark hunting a ride, your chauffeur is already nosing to the curb, doors open, cold water and ice waiting, and you're gone. BYOB is fine for guests 21 and up if you want to keep the night rolling on the way home.
