Local Intel

Austin throws a great bachelor weekend. It's also a pain to move a group around. The good stuff is scattered. Rainey one minute, East 6th the next, then a lake morning, maybe a distillery out in Dripping Springs, or a show at Moody Center. Nothing's close to anything. And parking at every single one of those is its own little war. Here's what the people who do this a lot already know before they ever think about which vehicle.

Rainey Street

Rainey is small. We're talking maybe a tenth of a square mile, boxed in by Lady Bird Lake on one side and Waller Creek on the other, with old skinny streets that the high-rises and the tower cranes have pinched even further. All it takes is one delivery truck or one rideshare parked wrong and the whole block drops to a single lane for a few minutes. The official rideshare drop is the corner of Davis and Rainey (605 Davis St). On weekend nights Rainey usually goes car-free under the city's Shared Streets program, Thursday through early Sunday, roughly 9 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. That makes Davis Street the staging point you can actually rely on. We still check the closure the night of, because the city has moved the goalposts on this before.

East 6th and the rest

Sixth stays open to cars on weekend nights these days. There are 3.5-foot concrete barriers running from San Jacinto to Neches, and the north lane is set aside for loading and pickup. But police still shut it down on the fly near last call once the sidewalks get shoulder to shoulder, so we don't assume the same drop will hold all night. Then there's I-35. The whole stretch through downtown is torn apart for the Capital Express rebuild, and that goes through the end of the decade. The ramps near Riverside and MLK are gone for good. We just route around the entire thing.

The Chauffeured Experience

Here's how we run a bachelor night. One chauffeur, one vehicle, booked by the hour and as-directed. The car sticks with you start to finish and moves on your clock, not ours. Nobody's standing on a corner at 1 a.m. refreshing an app. You're not split across three cars that roll up at three different times to three different doors. You finish at one spot, walk out, and the car's right there.

The Flagship Jetliner Sprinter is what most groups grab. Seats up to 10. Starlink Wi-Fi, climate control, real privacy, a premium audio system, so the ride between stops feels like part of the night instead of dead air. We stock complimentary water and ice, and BYOB is fine for guests 21 and up. Smaller crew, or you'd rather keep it tight? The 2025 Cadillac Escalade takes up to six, with climate control and premium audio.

Honestly, plotting the night is where this earns its keep. We line up Rainey, 6th, and a lake morning so you're never sitting in the worst of it. SH 130 and the toll roads (183A and the others) keep us clear of the I-35 disaster on a lake run or a hop down to San Antonio. Lake Travis is its own thing: Devil's Cove is boat-access only, so we drop you right at whichever ramp your boat company runs out of (Loop 360, Walsh Boat Landing, or Lake Travis Marina off Lakeshore) and we time it so you're not stuck in the RM 620 weekend crawl. Catching a show at Moody Center? The post-show crush and the 30-plus-minute rideshare wait after the encore are very real, and your car sidesteps all of it. On the big nights we can also set up paid venue parking access so the vehicle stages close by. That's a premium add-on we coordinate one night at a time.

Two vehicles, one calendar. Event weekends go first.

Why The Jetliner

01

The car stays with you all night

Booked by the hour and as-directed, so your chauffeur and the vehicle park themselves at your disposal for the whole outing and roll when you say roll. No re-booking between bars. No squinting at an app wondering if a pickup is actually coming.

02

One group, one vehicle

The Flagship Jetliner Sprinter keeps all 10 of you together, with Starlink Wi-Fi, privacy, and premium audio. Got six? The 2025 Cadillac Escalade fits a tighter crew. Either way nobody gets left behind at the last bar.

03

We know where to stage

Davis Street for Rainey on a car-free night. The north loading lane on 6th. The right boat ramp for Devil's Cove. We pick the drop that actually works on a packed Saturday, not the one that looks good on a map.

04

Routed around the I-35 mess

The Capital Express rebuild has downtown ramps closed for good and isn't finishing anytime soon. So we plan off the interstate and lean on SH 130 and the toll roads to keep the night from stalling out.

05

BYOB welcome, water and ice on board

Bring what the 21-and-up crew wants. We keep complimentary water and ice stocked, so the stretch between stops stays comfortable and nobody's parched halfway through the night.

06

Venue parking access we can arrange

Moody Center show, or another big one? We can coordinate buying parking access so the vehicle stages close. It's a premium option, set up case by case, but on the right night it changes everything.

Questions, answered

How does booking work for a bachelor night?

Hourly and as-directed, with a minimum booking. Your chauffeur and the vehicle stay with the group the whole outing and move on your schedule. You're not paying for a string of separate trips between stops. You've got the car the entire time, full stop.

Can you hit Rainey, 6th, and the lake all in one booking?

Yep. And we'll order it so you dodge the worst of the congestion. A lake morning at Devil's Cove, then Rainey and 6th once the sun's down, that's a run we do all the time. We check Rainey's car-free hours the night of and stage at Davis Street to match.

Which vehicle is better for a bachelor party?

Most groups go with the Flagship Jetliner Sprinter. It seats up to 10 and comes with Starlink Wi-Fi, climate control, privacy, and premium audio. If you're six or fewer, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade is a sharp pick, also with climate control and premium audio.

Can we drink in the vehicle?

BYOB is welcome for guests 21 and up, and we keep complimentary water and ice on board. The chauffeur's got the driving handled, so the whole group can actually unwind on the ride between stops.

How do you handle Lake Travis and Devil's Cove?

Devil's Cove is boat-access only, so we drop you right at the ramp your boat company uses. Could be Loop 360, Walsh Boat Landing, or Lake Travis Marina off Lakeshore Drive. We time the run around the RM 620 weekend traffic so you're not crawling down a two-lane road waiting on your captain.

What about parking at a Moody Center show?

Your car stages and waits, so you walk past the post-show crush and the long rideshare line at Clyde Littlefield and Red River. On the big nights we can also arrange paid venue parking access so the vehicle sits close.

How far ahead should we reserve?

The earlier the better, especially for weekend nights, SXSW, or a game weekend. Reserve or grab a quote at thejetliner.com, or call 737-200-5252, and we'll build the night around your stops.
