The closures that actually matter

W. Riverside Dr between Lee Barton and S. First goes dark at 6 p.m. and stays that way until 1 a.m. Then, somewhere in the 9:30 to 10:30 window, two more pieces drop: S. First from Cesar Chavez down to Barton Springs, and Riverside between Barton Springs and S. First. Those don't reopen until roughly 11 a.m. on New Year's Day. So the curb right beside the venue? Gone, well before the last firework. The official shared-ride drop is the southwest corner of Riverside and S. First, which is also the line where normal curb access quits.

Where the cars actually go

South Lamar, Barton Springs Rd, and Riverside are the three the City flags as feeder roads to avoid near midnight. Real staging happens at the garages ringing the closure. Palmer Events Center sits on the 900 block of Barton Springs, closest to the lawn, 1,200 spaces, $12 event rate, card only now, no overnight. One Texas Center at Barton Springs and S. First catches the overflow. City Hall garage parks on the north shore, straight across the water. Bouldin Creek, just southwest of it all, is a hard no-parking zone. The City says it plainly: be downtown by 10 p.m., or sit in it.
