Local Intel
Commencement happens at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, and the day lives or dies on logistics. The stadium sits on the east edge of campus, fenced in by MLK Jr. Blvd, San Jacinto Blvd, Robert Dedman Dr, and I-35. Come ceremony Saturday, that whole box locks down. Robert Dedman from MLK up to Dean Keeton. San Jacinto from MLK to 24th. DeLoss Dodds Way, Clyde Littlefield, 20th, eastbound 21st. All of it shut from midnight to 10 p.m. UT PD and Austin PD run the perimeter, so however you come in, you're hitting officer-controlled entry points.
Parking fills, and it fills early
Most university garages open free for the weekend. The two exceptions, Conference Center Garage and Nueces Garage, stay closed. But free isn't the same as available. UT's own guidance flat-out tells guests to keep a backup garage in mind because lots "frequently reach capacity." San Jacinto Garage at 2401 San Jacinto is the structure they recommend for drop-offs. Trouble is, a lot of the San Jacinto and Robert Dedman approaches are closed that day, so how you get in matters more than where you're headed. East Campus Garage sits closest to the stadium and runs free ADA shuttles to Gate 14 and Gate 27.
The I-35 squeeze
The frontage exits that feed campus (Dean Keeton, San Jacinto, Red River, Trinity, Manor, 18th, 17th) clog up from roughly 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on ceremony day. Now stack the active TxDOT I-35 Capital Express rebuild on top of that. Lane closures have popped up right between the 15th St and Manor Rd exits. The corridor gets genuinely slow. Gates open at 6 p.m. Graduates seated by 7:10. Ceremony at 7:30. People who've done this before know the trick: be on campus before the 4 p.m. ramp-up, not pulling in at 5:30 with everybody else.
The Chauffeured Experience
Here's how we run a graduation day. You've got your car and chauffeur for the entire outing, on call, as-directed, moving on your clock and nobody else's. This isn't a drop-off. We stay.
And that matters more here than almost anywhere we work. The afternoon is a slow stack of family logistics. A brunch. A hotel pickup. Grandparents who need the door right at the curb. A quick stop for flowers. We carry every piece of it and we wait through each one. When the stadium time comes, we've already worked out the way in. The direct approaches are closed, so we go around them. To reach Manor Garage we'll run southbound on Red River from Dean Keeton, then cut west on Clyde Littlefield. For drop-offs we use the south curb of Dean Keeton between Robert Dedman and Red River, which is the designated zone, and we stage from there instead of circling a grid that's already shut.
The part folks underestimate is the outflow. Everyone leaves at once. Garages back up for a long, long stretch on egress. We don't sit in that mess. We position outside the worst of it and time the pickup so you walk straight out to the car, not stand on a corner with tired relatives baking in graduation-day heat.
For a full family, the Flagship Jetliner Sprinter is the call: seats up to 10, Starlink Wi-Fi, real climate control, privacy, premium audio. Smaller crew? The 2025 Cadillac Escalade fits up to 6 with the same comfort. We keep complimentary water and ice aboard, and BYOB is welcome for guests 21 and up if you want to toast the new grad on the way to dinner. For commencement we can also coordinate purchasing closer parking access so the car stages near the stadium. We sort that one case by case, when it's actually worth doing.

Why The Jetliner
Questions, answered
Is this a one-way drop at the stadium or do you stay with us?
We stay. Graduation is booked hourly and as-directed with a minimum, so the same car and chauffeur are with you the whole outing, from the first pickup through dinner after the ceremony. You set the pace. We move when you're ready.
Where will you drop us for the stadium ceremony?
The designated drop zone is the south curb of Dean Keeton St between Robert Dedman Dr and Red River St. Robert Dedman and San Jacinto approaches close on ceremony day, so we route in around the closures and stage from there rather than fighting a locked grid.
What time should we leave to make the 7:30 ceremony?
Earlier than you'd think. Gates open at 6. Graduates seat by 7:10. And the I-35 frontage exits feeding campus start choking around 4 p.m. We'll set a pickup that puts you on campus before that build, not stuck in the thick of it.
How bad is getting out after it ends?
Tough. The whole crowd files out at once and garages back up for a long stretch on egress. We position outside the worst of it and time your pickup so you walk to the car instead of standing on a corner. Honestly, that's the piece we plan hardest.
Which vehicle works for our group?
For a full family the Flagship Jetliner Sprinter seats up to 10 with Starlink Wi-Fi, climate, privacy, and premium audio. For up to 6, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade is the move. Both carry complimentary water and ice, and BYOB is welcome for guests 21 and up.
Can you handle a grandparent who can't walk far?
Absolutely. We do close-curb arrivals, and we can coordinate with the free East Campus Garage ADA shuttles that run to Gate 14 and Gate 27 so the walk is as short as it gets.
Can you get us closer parking near the stadium?
Sometimes, yes. For commencement we can coordinate purchasing closer parking access so the car stages near the stadium. It's a premium option we arrange case by case, not a guarantee, and we'll tell you straight when it's actually worth doing.
What vehicle options are available to accommodate our family and their belongings for UT graduation day?
We offer a Mercedes Sprinter, which holds up to 10 passengers and 8 bags, and a 2025 Cadillac Escalade, which holds up to 6 passengers.
How does The Jetliner handle transportation logistics for the entire graduation day, ensuring we avoid parking hassles and have continuous access to our vehicle?
Graduation runs as an hourly charter, so the same chauffeur and vehicle stay with your family for the entire day, staged close and ready the moment the ceremony lets out. You never hunt for parking or wait on a second car.
What amenities are included to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our family during the graduation celebration?
The Flagship Jetliner Sprinter includes Starlink Wi-Fi, dual LCD screens with Apple TV, privacy partitions, premium audio, and climate control, and the 2025 Cadillac Escalade matches it on comfort, sound, and climate. We also provide complimentary water and ice, and BYOB is permitted for ages 21 and up. No smoking is permitted.
